Special Needs Patients

At our office we realize that children with Special Needs have unique challenges that impact their oral health.  This includes their mouth and gums along with their teeth.  Some of these challenges stem from their health condition.  Others may arise from diet, oral sensitivity and even the medicines that they need to take being high in sugar.  It may seem like dental care should come after more pressing medical issues; however, because of these challenges for children with special needs, it is imperative to practice good oral health.  When you visit our office, we will be more that happy to pass along numerous tips for a healthy mouth, making your child's dental experience a happy one and to discuss common dental concerns.
